About our Facilities

Creative Kidz Preschool & Daycare was established in 2011 in Newberg, Oregon.  Founded by Christina Cornett (a Newberg native) &  Adam Wilson, the previous owner. Recognizing the community's need for a childcare facility, they established Creative Kidz. To fulfill this vital requirement, they started providing an essential service to the community.  With a passion for Teaching, wanting to provide information, education and inspiration, Christina has worked as lead Teacher in all classrooms over the years. If you see her, make sure to say Hello! 

This Certified Child Care Center caters to children 2-5 years of age. Neighboring Tom Gail Park, and The Avamere parking lot; children have the opportunity for nature walks and weekly picnics. The interior has a School like feel with educational posters in the classrooms and canvas art accents throughout the halls.

With the high need for infant care, Creative Kidz Nursery was established in 2016. This Certified Child Care Center caters to children 12 weeks - 24 months of age. Neighboring Downtown Newberg and George Fox University. The interior has a home like feel with neutral colors schemes and canvas art throughout the building. The children have an opportunity to play outside in our grassy outside area or hang out in a bouncer on our wooden deck to explore their creative minds.

Creative Kidz Preschool & Daycare Est. 2018 in Tigard Oregon, is now Curious Minds. 

Creative Kidz Nursery in Wilsonville Oregon Est. 2018 is now Kids Cove.

 

Our Philosophy 

The Creative Kidz team believes in the practice of high standards of safety, security, cleanliness, teaching, and loving care.

Our philosophy is that children learn best through play. Dramatic play plays an important role in hands on learning, self-expression, and problem solving.  To facilitate the highest level of early education, we offer a variety of teaching styles at our facility; embracing diversity is pivotal to creating a warm and welcoming learning environment for children. Offering children a space to freely express themselves though structured and unstructured activities and opportunities to grow, with child-led activities in the classroom, allows children to present discoveries with their curious minds. Our hope for children who graduate from Creative Kidz, is to manifest confidence in their new classroom!

 
  • Our staff is Infant Pediatric, First Aid & CPR Certified
  • Registered with The Central Background Registry with an FBI fingerprint-based background check
  • Infant safe sleep certified
  • Food handler certified
  • Preschool Teacher's obtain 15 annual training hours in child development, health and safety, and safety set
  • Preschool Teacher Aides are 18 years or older
  • Preschool Teachers are college educated or have one year minimum of experience in their specialized age group
